1. About the service

DroneTreneren is an online practice service for the theory exams for the A1/A3 and A2 drone certificates. The service consists of practice questions with explanations, mock exams and statistics. These terms apply when you use DroneTreneren and when you buy access.

By creating an account or buying access, you accept these terms.

2. Who you are buying from

The service is provided by DroneTreneren, Gjerdrums vei 10E, 0484 Oslo.

Questions, complaints and other enquiries should be sent to hei@dronetreneren.no.

3. Account

You can try the service for free. To buy access you must create an account. The account is personal and must not be shared with others. You are responsible for keeping your login details secret.

We may close accounts used in breach of these terms, for example if an account is shared or content is copied.

4. Free trial

The free version includes 1 practice session and 1 mock exam per certificate. The free sessions can be replayed with the same questions. We may change what the free version includes.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the pricing page and are given in Norwegian kroner (NOK). DroneTreneren is not registered for Norwegian VAT (MVA), so no VAT is charged.

All purchases are one-time payments. There is no subscription, and access is not renewed automatically. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

6. Access period

Access applies to the certificate you buy (A1/A3, A2 or both) and starts when the payment is completed.

  • 1 week gives access for 7 days.
  • 1 month gives access for 30 days.
  • Lifetime gives access for as long as DroneTreneren is in operation, with no time limit for you.

When time-limited access expires, you keep your statistics up to the expiry date. You can buy new access at any time.

7. Right of withdrawal

DroneTreneren is digital content delivered immediately. When you buy, you ask for access to start straight away, and you confirm that the right of withdrawal is lost once access has been delivered, in accordance with section 22 (n) of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven).

Purchases are therefore not refunded once access has been activated. This does not affect your rights if the service is faulty, see section 8.

8. Faults and complaints

If the service does not work as described, you can complain under the Norwegian Digital Services Act (digitalytelsesloven). Contact us at hei@dronetreneren.no within a reasonable time after discovering the fault. We will fix the fault, extend your access or give a full or partial refund, depending on what is reasonable.

If you find a mistake in a question or an explanation, you can report it with the feedback button in the app.

9. About the content

The questions are practice questions written to the syllabus. They are not copies of the official exam. DroneTreneren is not affiliated with Luftfartstilsynet (the Civil Aviation Authority of Norway) or Statens vegvesen (the Norwegian Public Roads Administration).

We work to keep the content correct and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that you will pass the exam. Current regulations and official sources always take precedence over the content in DroneTreneren.

11. Liability

We are not liable for indirect losses, such as the cost of retaking an exam. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for access. This limitation does not apply where mandatory law provides otherwise.

The service may be unavailable for short periods during maintenance or outages. In the event of longer interruptions, we will extend time-limited access accordingly.

12. Personal data

We only process the data we need to provide the service: your account and email address (via Clerk), payment (via Stripe) and your answers, which are used for statistics.

We measure traffic anonymously and without cookies (Vercel Analytics). If you accept cookies, we also use Google Analytics and PostHog to see how the site is used, so that we can improve it. PostHog stores data in the EU. Before you have given consent, the Google tag only sends anonymous signals without cookies (Google Consent Mode), which Google uses to estimate the number of visits and purchases from ads. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.

You can ask for access to or deletion of your data by contacting us.

13. Changes

We may update the service and these terms. Significant changes will be announced on the website or by email. Changes do not apply to access you have already paid for if they are to your disadvantage.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. We want to resolve any disagreement directly with you. If we cannot reach agreement, you can complain to Forbrukertilsynet (the Norwegian Consumer Authority) and Forbrukerklageutvalget (the Consumer Complaints Committee).
